मैंने यह किताब जनवरी २०२५ में पढ़ना शुरू की थी, जिसे मैंने जल्दी ही पढ़कर ख़त्म कर दी। इस दौरान मैं कई सारी किताबें पढ़ रहा था, जो कि दलित आत्मकथाएँ थीं, जो दलित समाज के संघर्ष पर आधारित थीं, जैसे मराठी में उचल्या, कोल्हाट्याचं पोर, मरण स्वस्त होत आहे, बलूतं, जेव्हा मि जात चोरली, और हिंदी दलित साहित्य में यह मेरी पहली किताब थी जो मैंने पढ़ी। मेरे मराठी के शिक्षक ने मुझे इनमें से कई सारी किताबें पढ़ने का सुझाव दिया था।
